The Bristol Area

The Malago Bed and Breakfast is situated on West Street in Bedminster, Bristol. We are within walking distance from Bristol's tourist attractions, shopping centres and nightlife.

Historic Bristol

You will find many historical attractions in and around Bristol you may like to visit, The SS Great Britain, The Matthew, Bristol's Old Vic theatre, Bristol's famous historic Harbourside and the Grand Saint Mary Redcliffe church. The Brunel Suspention Bridge is only a short distance away.

You can also find Bristol Cathedral and many more historical attractions not far from Bristol's City Centre.

Shopping

You might want to try out our new mutlimillion pound shopping complex 'Cabot Circus' which was built in 2009, where you'll find your favourite department stores such as Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser and all major department stores. Also a bus ride away is The Mall Shopping Complex at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.

Museums

Very close to us is the soon to open M-Shed Museum, which is situated on Bristol's harbourside, where you'll also find the @ Bristol (at Bristol) complex and Bristol's famous art centre The Arnolfini. Bristol Museum can be found at the top of Park Street where you may spot one of Banky's famous murals.

Nightlife

The nightlife in Bristol can be found on the Harbourside waterfront and around Bristol's city centre. You will find plenty of night clubs such as 'Oceana Nightclub' all within a few minutes walk from each other.

Even if you did not want to venture there, one night you could try a few drinks down at our local North Street, or maybe you would like to just chill out in our relaxing bar area.

Things to do in Bristol

The Bristol Zoo is not to far away from The Malago Bed and Breakfast, you may like to try our open air double decker bus that shows you the sites of Bristol. At the harbour, you can catch the boat ferry that has many stops around the centre of Bristol, your nearest stop to catch the ferry would be by the SS Great Britain, which is within walking distance of our Guest House.

Ashton Court Mansion where Bristol's famous Balloon fiesta is held every year is within walking distance. Also in Bristol we have the regatta held every year in late July, which is also at Bristol's harbourside.

The Malago Bed and Breakfast is in an area called 'Bedminster', Withn Bedminster there are a number a places you can eat and drink, not far away is the trendy area of 'North Street' with numerous Bar's, cafe's restaurants and art centres.

TobaccoAlso in the area is The Tobacco Factory where there are many art and craft shows, with a weekly Sunday Market. 'The South Bank' arts school is just next door. Bristol City Football Club is also within walking distance of our Bed and Breakfast.

Wherever you are in Bristol you are sure to find many museums, art galleries and theatres not too far away. Whether you are on holiday or on a business trip, Bristol has much to see and do, and the Malago Bed and Breakfast has it all when it comes to position and comfort, our aim is for you to feel like it's home from home.

Restaurants

You are sure to find a great place to eat in Bristol! We have many fantastic restaurants to choose from. In our Cabot Circus complex you will find the famous 'Raymond Blanc' restaurant and 'Carluccio's' italian restaurant. Off the centre is 'The Bistro' at Hotel Du Vin and you will find 'Bordeaux Quay', The Severn Shed, River Station and The Mud Dock all in and around Bristol's Harbourside.

 

Transport

Bristol FlyerWe are on the main stretch from Bristol International airport, with the shuttle bus stopping just yards from our Bed and Breakfast. A single fair from Bristol Airport is £4.00. The Malago Bed and Breakfast is on the main bus route, that takes you to Bristol Temple Meads Train Station and Bristol Bus Station.
